Blooms → Germany

Nick & Theresa

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest’” (Matthew 9:37-38).

Nick and Theresa are excited that people from many nations are open to considering Christ in the cultural crossroads of secular Germany. With a particular burden for refugees, the Blooms had been praying for the complex situation within Germany as they learned more. Gradually, though, they saw specific ways the Lord was preparing to send them.

Along with their young boys, the Blooms are joining a team planting a multicultural church in a neighborhood of Frankfurt. Partnering with a Reformed pastor from the Netherlands, they will live alongside established immigrants, recent refugees, and generations of Germans.

Having known the grace of Christ in their own lives, Nick and Theresa seek to invite others into the true peace that only exists in being forgiven by the blood of the eternal Lamb.

Through everyday friendliness, frequent hospitality, and church-run outreach including establishing a local second-hand shop, the Blooms are eager to engage in evangelism and discipleship, filling an ordinary role in the extraordinary work God is currently doing in Germany.
